Edwin H. Chesbrough, 88, Barnum, went to join the heavens peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023 while surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 11, 1934 in Hinckley to Harrison and Alvina Chesbrough. Ed was not only a loving father but also a best friend. He excelled at being a grandpa, great grandpa, brother, and uncle.
As a jack of all trades, he was called upon by his family to fix whatever was broken to which he did with a smile on his face and a lesson to teach.
Ed always made time to take his children on the milk route with him, which always made for many great memories for his children.
He loved spending time with this grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether it was bouncing them on his knee, tickling them, picking on them, or teaching them about his farm; he always made a fun time out of everything.
Ed was a hard working man who helped anyone in need. He worked hard farming, haying, and cutting his own wood right up close to the end.
Ed will always be remembered by his family as their hero who loved God, family, and the USA.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Harrison and Alvina Chesbrough; daughter: Vickie Westaby; son: Rick Chesbrough; brother: Kenneth Chesbrough; two sisters: Lois Parsons and Lorraine Keller; and two grandchildren: Lisa Dietz and Zachary Dietz.
Ed will be lovingly remembered by his four children: Tim Chesbrough of Barnum; Sandy (Dwight) Dietz of Oshkosh, WI; Cindy Chesbrough of Oshkosh, WI; and Faith (Terry) Youngberg of Moose Lake; son-in-law: Keith Westaby of Owen, WI; grandchildren: Tim (Amanda) Chesbrough; Ed (Ashley) Chesbrough; Mike (Dianna) Chesbrough; Matthew (Kristina) Dietz; Kayla (Collin) Gaertner; Ryan (Anna) Westaby; Adam (Grace) Westaby; Kyle (Lisa) Westaby; Mariah (Nathaniel) Conrad; Alyssa (Adam) Young; Breann (Kenneth) Fahlsing; Mitchell (Bailey) Youngberg; Travis Ward; Collin Youngberg; twenty one great grandchildren; sister: Margie (Wallace) Donaldson; two brothers: Harrison (Rexine) Chesbrough and John (Sharon) Chesbrough; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A service will be at 11 am on Saturday, May 27, 2023 followed by a Celebration of Life until 3 pm at the Barnum Community Center in Barnum.
