Ella Olivia Meyer

Ella Olivia Meyer, 100, Moose Lake, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born on June 27, 1908 to August and Martha Koecher in Oxford Township, Isanti County where she grew up and attended school. On March 21, 1931, Ella married Lyman Meyer. In 1932, they moved to the Oak Lake area where they farmed through the years and Ella was also a homemaker. She was a member of Oak Lake Lutheran Church and its Ladie's Aid and the CC Club. Ella later moved to Moose Lake where she lived at Hillside Manor East. Ella loved cooking, babysitting grandchildren, and doing embroidery. She was a "Champion Breadmaker".

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman in 1971; an infant daughter: Lois; and four brothers: Walter, Otto, William, and Edwin.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two children: Wayne Meyer of Duquette and Carol (Archie) Robinson of Duquette; 9 Grandchildren; numerous Great and Great-Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 11 AM in Oak Lake Lutheran Church, Kerrick Twp. Pastor Nathan Anderson did officiate. Honorary Bearers were Dale Staberg, John Meyer, Tom Maguire, Mark Sagvold, Warren Sagvold, Jessie Robinson, and Duane Dahl. Spring Inurnment will be in Oak Lake Community Cemetery.
