Elsie B. Daulton
Elsie B. Daulton, 91, Moose Lake, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born January 31, 1919 in Iowa where she grew up and attended school. After school, Elsie joined the Army and was a very proud Veteran of WWII. Following the service, Elsie lived in Nebraska, New Jersey, and South Dakota where she worked in textile factories. She loved to cook, bake, garden, and write articles for several different magazines. It was always her dream to write a book someday. Elsie was not only a soldier in the Army but she was a soldier in everyday life. She loved to take care of people and help anyone in need. She was a very special and joyous person. Elsie was also a very active member of the VFW in South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter: Edith; two sons: Ernie and Everett; a sister: Mae; and three brothers: Maynard, Henry, and Robert.
Elsie is survived by her sister: Barb (John) Hanes of McGregor; her Grandchildren:
Virgil Hofford of California; Jeff (Jan) Hofford of Rogers; Teresa (Greg) Graves of Moose Lake; Cathy Eller of Chaska; Tony (Karla) Hofford of Sturgeon Lake; and Mike Hofford of Sturgeon Lake; several Great Grandchildren; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
