Erma Inez Renstrom, 86, of Moose Lake, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born February 12, 1923 in Moose Lake Township to Sulo and Hilma (Harju) Puntila. Erma graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1941. Erma was united in marriage to Richard E. Renstrom on July 4, 1942 in Cloquet. In 1964, she began working at the Moose Lake State Hospital as a recreational therapist until retiring in 1978. Erma is a member of Moose Lake United Methodist Church and the Autumn Voices. She also participated in several area singing groups. Erma enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting.

Erma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard E.; her son: Richard L.; grandson, Chris; 5 brothers; 1 sister.

Erma is survived by 3 children, Judy (Jim) Radel-Trigg, Jim (Mary) Renstrom and Norma "Cooky" (Terry) Horrisberger; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Johnson and Norma (Jiggs) Little; many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends was held on Tuesday, June 30, from Noon until the 1 P.M. Memorial Service in Moose Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Edwards officiating.
