Obituary

Eunice Jean Sangren, 94, of Willow River, died Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Augustana Care Center, Moose Lake. Eunice was born on August 15, 1926 in Kerrick to Oscar and Edna (Mitchell) Dahlgren.

She married Vernon H. Sangren on June 9, 1945 in Bruno on the Sangren family farm.

Eunice was a true homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and farming. She spent her years as a wife and mother. Eunice was a worker, she loved to shovel the snow and mow the yard on her family farm. The Sangren family farm is a "Century Farm", a title Eunice devoted her time and life to upholding.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Sangren; her parents, Oscar and Edna Dahlgren; brothers, Wilbur and Donald Maltby, and John Dahlgren; sisters, Dorothy Erickson and Bernice Edin.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Judy (Kevin) Nelson of Willow River; son, Jerry Sangren of Willow River; sisters, Ellen Pogue of Duluth, and Fran Johnsen of Finlayson; grandchildren, Randy Nelson and Kim Waldhalm; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Makenna, Parker, Hallie, Paige, and Kendall.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Bruno City Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required while attending the graveside service.
