EVA MARGUERITE KOVARIK
Eva Marguerite Kovarik, 99, of Pahrump, NV, formerly of Moose Lake, passed away September 29, 2013. She was born Eva Thompson on February 22, 1914 in Scanlon. Eva was united in marriage to James Kovarik on February 1, 1932 in Sturgeon Lake where they farmed. In 1933, they moved to Superior, WI where they operated Kovarik's Grocery Store until 1945 when they moved back to Sturgeon Lake and returned to farming. Around 1960, Eva began work at the Moose Lake State Hospital until the late 70's when she retired as an LPN.
Eva is preceded in death her husband, James; 1 daughter, Jean Turnquist.
Eva is survived by her son, Tom (Debra) Kovarik of Pahrump, NV; 6 grandchildren, James Turnquist of Lino Lakes, Steve (Andrea) Turnquist of Blaine, Mark (Kim) Turnquist of Yakima, WA, Angela (Troy) Ashton of Westlake Village, CA, Amelia (John) Fancher of Yorktown, VA and Michael Kovarik of Seattle, WA; and 10 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, November 9, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
