EVERETTE IRVING KOECHER
Everette Irving Koecher, 85, of Kerrick Township, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. He was born March 17, 1928 in Moose Lake to Emil and Helen (Leubke) Koecher. Everette graduated from Bruno High School. He was united in marriage to Jean Fralich on October 28, 1950 in Barnum. Everette dairy farmed through the years on the family homestead which has proudly been in the family for over 100 years. He served on the Pine County Board for 26 years. Everette enjoyed going to auctions, hunting, fishing, cutting wood and especially spending time with family and friends.
Everette is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey; granddaughter, Heather Van Guilder; grandson, Lyle Koecher; great grandson, Maxwell Mascarenas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Orville (Eleanor) Koecher and Marvin (Evelyn) Koecher.
Everette is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jean; 2 daughters, Gayle (Dennis) Van Guilder of Makinen and Sheila (Don) Crews of Hermantown; 2 sons, Steven Koecher of Duquette and Craig (Kim) Koecher of Nickerson; 11 grandchildren, Ray (Michelle) VanGuilder, Heidi VanGuilder, Mara Crews, Bryce Crews, Jason (Lena) Koecher, Nicole Koecher, Derrick (Amber Fett) Koecher, Justin Koecher, Jeremey Koecher, Brittney (Mark) Mascarenas, Courtney Koecher; 9 great grandchildren plus 1 due in September, Heather VanGuilder, Shyla Copeland, Caitlin, Hannah and Austin Koecher, Paige and Randi Koecher, Domonic and Gabriella Mascarenas; 1 step grandson; 6 step great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandson; many nieces nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, July 8, from 6-8 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Tuesday, July 9 from 2 PM until the 3 PM Service in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bruno. Interment will be in Nickerson Cemetery, Nickerson.
