Florine "Bunny" Anne (Spaniol) Hartman, 88, of Moose Lake, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born September 7, 1924 in St. Cloud to George and Mary (Kindler) Spaniol. She graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. Florine was united in marriage to Clayton Clarence Hartman on August 27, 1949. They moved to Moose Lake where they resided for 63 years. Bunny was a devoted wife and loving mother. She chose to spend her life taking care of her family. Her passions were card games and she loved playing bridge every week with her friends. She loved flowers and gardening, her spoon collection, sitting on the patio and any type of puzzle. Bunny was an avid sports fan. There was no talking to her when the Twins were on. All of this was done over a good cup of coffee. Bunny was always smiling and laughing. Some of her other highlights were Miss St. Cloud in 1947, Moose Lake women's bowling league, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, member of American Legion Auxiliary and she served on the Holy Angels Catholic Church board and taught religious education classes. As the Mayor's wife, she enjoyed being the First Lady of Moose Lake for 22 years. Clay and Bunny spent many summers camping and enjoying the west. In the later years they took many bus trips all over the United States. Travelling was their passion.
