Floyd Edward
Weske
October 5, 1929 – September 2, 2021
Floyd Edward Weske died peacefully on September 2, 2021. Floyd was a lifelong resident of the area. He was born on October 5, 1929 to Paul and Eleanor Weske of Barnum. Floyd attended Barnum High School and it was at a high school party that he met the love of his life, Elizabeth (Betty) Weske of Moose Lake. They married in 1950 and made their home in Moose Lake where they raised their family and lived out a long and happy life together, having recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.
Floyd was a hardworking man who firstly worked as a transport driver and subsequently in his own company, Weske Timber Products. He loved his home, his family, and his community. Some people are remembered by what they did. Floyd will be remembered by how he made us feel. He loved us, and was much loved in return.
Floyd was a member of Hope Lutheran Church where he faithfully operated the camera to broadcast services for 30 years.
Floyd leaves behind his wife, Betty; four children, Susan, Julie, Paula, and Peter; and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren too numerous to list here. We are sad at his passing, but happy to have had his presence in our lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, circumstances permitting.
Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
