Frank R Zebott, 66, of Askov, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 28, 2016. Frank grew up in Hermantown. He then served our country in the United States Army in Vietnam during the Agent Orange era. He was post commander at the VFW Post #137 in West Duluth and was also commander of the Jens H Jensen American Legion Post #143 in Askov. Frank retired from the Duluth Missabe & Iron Range Railroad in 1999. He then managed Askov Hardware & Lumber with his wife Marlys for 12 years before retiring completely in 2011. Frank enjoyed working at anything, helping anyone in need, gardening, cutting firewood, serving the Askov Area Lions Club, cooking, and fishing. His favorite "job" was volunteering at the Pine County History Museum.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Irwin & Rose Zebott; son, Thomas Zebott; granddaughter, Alyssa Zebott.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Marlys; sons; Paul (Heather) Zebott, Matt (Jennifer) Beeler and Jonathan Beeler; daughter, Vicky Zebott; 9 grandchildren, Scott, Michaela, Audrey, Elizabeth, Derek, Kiara, Sonje, Ayden & Krew; brothers, Bruce (Sally) and Milt (Bobbi); sister, Ruth Lee Quarn (Butch).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 2 – 7 PM at the Askov Community Center, Merchant Street, Askov.
