Frieda Leona Evgen "Tootsie", 82 of Sturgeon Lake, passed away peacefully Sunday December 13, 2020 at her home with family. Frieda was born in North Dakota on September 25, 1938, the daughter of Henry and Frieda (Horning) Boeshans.

Frieda married LeRoy Evgen on September 7 ^th , 1957 in Crown, Minnesota. They lived in New Brighton where they started their family, later moving to Cedar, and eventually Columbia Heights where they raised their four children.

They retired to their lake home on Island Lake, in Sturgeon Lake where many special memories were made with loved ones.

Tootsie had a zest for life, she enjoyed decorating, holidays, and baking. Tootsie was a true Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. She always showed her many loved ones she was thinking of them with hand picked greeting cards and special written notes, She was devoted to her faith, family, and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She touched many lives with her huge heart and will be deeply missed.

Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frieda Boeshans; and her siblings,Brothers: Ernie, Bennie, Herbert, Hubert, and Art; Sisters: Irene, Hilda, and Rose.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, LeRoy Evgen; Son: Rory(Pam)Evgen, Daughters: Renee (Laurence) Kachinske, Robyn (Danny) Kleszyk, Laurie (Mark) Faust; Grandchildren: Britney, Jayke, Rhianna, Angela, Tyler, Travis, Spencer, Brandyn, Kady, John; Great Grandchildren: Jaxsyn, Khloey, Charley, Carter, Eva, Ezra, Xavier, Judah, Milo, Nora, Max, and Finley; three brothers: Louie Boeshans; Donnie Boeshans; and Mark Boeshans; and one sister: Marilyn Irwin.

A private memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.
