Gail J.
Baublitz
February 12, 1957 – December 5, 2017
Gail J. Baublitz
Gail J. Baublitz, 60, Barnum, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. She was born on February 12, 1957 in St. Paul to Elvin and Shirley Sorenson. Gail grew up in St. Francis. On May 31, 1986, Gail married Randy Baublitz in Blaine. They lived in Brooklyn Park for over 21 years and Gail worked in medical records at Park Nicollet Clinic in Brooklyn Center and Oxboro Clinic in South Minneapolis. In 2005, they moved to Barnum where she enjoyed small town life in the country and lived her life for Jesus Christ. She was very involved at Barnum Community United Methodist Church and answered her call to volunteer for jail ministry at Carlton County Jail. Gail had participated in the MS150 with her family in honor of her brother-in-law and two weeks later Gail was diagnosed with MS. This diagnosis didn't keep her from participating in future MS150's. Through her illness, she was a fighter whom remained positive and loved sharing that positive effect on others. Gail was a great wife and mother. She truly enjoyed creating her flower gardens, riding her motorcycle, and later enjoying her convertible.
Gail was preceded in death by her dad: Elvin Sorenson; brother: Greg Sorenson; and nephew: Nathan Sorenson.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Randy; three sons: Danny Green of Columbia Heights; Joshua Baublitz of Barnum; and Jordan Baublitz of Barnum; mom: Shirley Sorenson-Hoff of Cambridge; brother: Gary (Brita) Sorenson of Isanti; sister: Gwen (Daniel) Flaherty of Coon Rapids; mother-in-law: Geraldine Eckhoff of Barnum; brother-in-law: Bruce (Monique) Swanson of Utah; three sisters-in-law: Robin Kohl of Brooklyn Center; Shandra Treichel of Coon Rapids; and Lisa Thorpe of Sauk Centre; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 11 am until the 12:00 Noon Memorial Service in Barnum Community United Methodist Church. Pastor Kendall Carlson will officiate.
Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
