Gary J. Danelski, 83, Willow River, died peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Moose Lake Village.  He was born on April 14, 1941 in Willow River to Philip and Ann Danelski.  Gary attended Willow River High School graduating in 1959.  He worked at Diamond Match in Cloquet and later moved to the Twin Cities where he worked at Pevey Flour Milling.  In 1971, Gary started Danelski Construction with Glenn Danelski.  Gary operated Danelski Construction for a total of 51 years.  He lived in Blaine for over 20 years and was a member of the Lions Club in Ham Lake.  In 1990, Gary moved to Willow River.  On April 26, 2004, Gary married Kate Stepan in Camdenton, MO.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Phil and Ann Danelski.

He is survived by his wife, Kate; two sons: Nate (Kim) Danelski and Kerry Danelski; two grandchildren: Krystle (Joe) Lindelof and Jake Danelski (Kyleigh Olson); four great grandchildren: Dawson, Peyton, Colton, and Brooks; two sisters: Barbara Bartholomaus and Virginia (Stan) Walker; and brother: Mike (Deb) Danelski.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10 am until the 11 am Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet.  A Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 am.  Inurnment with committal service will be at 12:30 pm in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Willow River.
