Genevieve "Gen" Peters, 92, of Moose Lake, Cromwell and formerly of Aurora, MN, beloved mother, grandmother, "Bubbles" and friend went to be with the Lord peacefully on May 4, 2026.  Gen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest; son, Darrell; daughter, Kim (Peters) Creager; son-in-law, Terry Leoni; and her twin siblings, Donna Lampel and Donald Leino.

Gen was born March 10, 1934 in Moose Lake to Emil and Manda Leino.  On September 20, 1952, she married the love of her life, Ernest Peters, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing.  Gen was a woman of great Lutheran faith and service to others.  She lived a long and meaningful life devoted to family, friendship, and kindness. Gen enjoyed blueberry picking, biking, walking, flowers, board games and traveling.  Gen will be remembered for her strong faith, her caring heart, generosity, smile and her bubbly sprite brought joy to everyone around her.

Gen is survived by daughters: Sherry Leoni and Shelly (Andy) Case; son: Mike Peters; son in law:  Andy Creager; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family wish to extend a sincere heartfelt thank you to all the staff of Essentia Health-Moose Lake, Villa Vista Nursing Home and St Croix Hospice for the excellent care, compassion and friendship you have given our mother.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 1, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moose Lake. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service with a luncheon to follow.
