George "Butch"
Audette
July 19, 1939 – January 17, 2017
George "Butch" Audette, 77, of Sturgeon Lake, formerly of N. St. Paul, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home. He was born July 19, 1939 in St. Paul to George and Dorothy (Minke) Audette.
George is survived by his lifelong companion, LaVonne Audette of Woodbury; children, Rachelle (Scott) Starwalt of Comfort Texas, Karen (Kevin) Moser of Moose Lake, Laurie (Jerry) Jennings of Oakdale, Jenni Audette (Michael Preys) of Woodbury; 9 grandchildren Maranda (Michael), Ashley (Jason), Malinda (Jeremy), Ed (Kasey), David (Ashley), Lauren, Nicole, Carson and Logan; 10 great grandchildren Lilyana, Mason, Henry, Addison, Hunter, Brayden, Harlow, Chase, Boyd and Gavin.
As a man, George was easy going, quick to make a joke and could easily join in a conversation with anyone he met. George was a strong and fit individual from years of working in the drywall construction business. This was matched by an even stronger work ethic. As a partner and father, George was a proud man. This man was proud of his spouse and a proud father of four daughters; whom he would show off and brag about whenever he was provided the opportunity. As a friend and to extended family, George was the first to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed spending quality time with his friends, especially fishing trips, sharing stories with laughs, and camping. He especially loved time with his uncles, aunts and many cousins. Those times were special to him and were often gathered around card games, weekend stays, family reunions, and even a few sports.
