Gladys Verna Jensen, 87, formerly of Willow River and Rutledge, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 in Oakview Assisted Living, Moose Lake. She was born January 16, 1924 in Dennison to Albert and Jenny (Hanson) Barrigar. Gladys was united in marriage to Arthur Nelson on July 2, 1941 in Pine County and to Harold Jensen in June of 1969, also in Pine County. Gladys was a cook and waitress at many local establishments throughout the years. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing and going to the casino.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, Arthur Nelson and Harold Jensen; daughter, Sharon Zimpher; grandson, Jason Chester; 3 brothers, Pat Barrigar, Bud Hansen and Donald Barrigar; sister, Hazel Niesen; son-in-law, Gus Dahlberg.

Gladys is survived by 2 sons, LeRoy (Ginger) Nelson of Andover and David (Rita Nelson) Nelson of Bruno; 2 daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Tietz of Carlton and Linda Dahlberg of Bruno; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends was held on Saturday, August 6, from Noon until the 1 PM Memorial Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
