Gladys Arlyne Jepson of Moose Lake passed away peacefully on April 29 th , at age 98. She was born in Moose Lake Mn Feb. 14, 1922 to David and Emily Almquist. Gladys was the youngest of 7 children (Edward, Bertram, Inez, Thora, Emily and Florence). Her father was one of the founders of the Moose Lake Covenant Church.

Gladys met her husband Bill, while he was a school teacher in Moose Lake, they were married on June 2 1951. Gladys had a love of music, and was an accomplished pianist by the age of 17. Through sheer determination she defied the doctors' predictions and was able to walk for her graduation ceremony.

Her passions were music, painting, world travel, camping and American history, particularly the Battle of Gettysburg. Her favorite flowers were Gladiolas and Iris. She volunteered at the Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, Value Village in New Hope and also at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park where she played the piano in the main reception area.

Gladys worked at Roberts Automatic Products in Edina for over 20 years, as a purchasing agent for the company.

Gladys' family would like to thank the amazing staff at Oakview Terrace, Augustana Mercy Nursing Home and Ecumen Hospice for the special care and comfort given to our mother.
