Gregory Shawn Tuthill, 56, resident of Sturgeon Lake, died in Essentia Health – St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth on Saturday, August 21 ^st , 2021. He was born in St. Paul, MN on August 26 ^th , 1964 to Harold J. and Carol M. (Hansen) Tuthill.

He grew up in Cottage Grove, MN with his family. Immediately after high school, Greg enlisted in the United States Army and served our country honorably from 1983 until 1985. He met his best friend, Melodye Christenson, and the two became married on December 16 ^th , 1991 in Las Vegas, NV. Greg made his career as a guard for the Minnesota Department of Corrections. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed his time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold J. Tuthill.

Gregory's memory will be cherished by his wife of 30 years, Melodye Tuthill; mother, Carol Tuthill; brother, Tim Tuthill; and sister, Susan Tuthill.

Private family services will be held.
