Obituary

Harold Baker, 96, of Blackhoof Township, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 in The Lighthouse Assisted Living, Barnum. He was born June 4, 1917 in Superior, WI to Walter and Lena (Gilmore) Baker. Harold was united in marriage to Olga Swanson on March 3, 1938 in Blackhoof Township. Harold's employment included working as a chauffeur for Agnew, the Blackhoof Depot, Conwed of Cloquet, the Soo Line Railroad, the State Highway Department as well as a farmer until retiring in 1980. Harold was a Fire Warden for over 60 years and a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Men of Elim and the Farm Bureau. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting wood and driving his Farmall H Tractor.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Olga; son, Harry; brothers, LeRoy (Adelia) Baker and Walter (Mary) Baker; sisters, Bernice (Charlie) Greene and Dorothy (Vernon) Carlson.

Harold is survived by brother, George Baker of Barnum, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 9, from 5 to 7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Monday, February 10 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Elim Lutheran Church, Blackhoof Township.
