Harriet Jane Berkheimer, 83, of Esko, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. She was born October 1, 1926 in Chicago, IL to Mr. & Mrs. Harry Shepard. Harriet was united in marriage to Earl Robert Berkheimer on May 25, 1950 in Chicago, IL. Harriet loved encouraging people by corresponding through letters. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidery and especially spending time with her family and dog, Ernie.

Harriet is preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl; son, Phil.

Harriet is survived by her granddaughter, Gretchen (Zeb) Rogers of Cloquet; dear friends, Barbara Peppard of Mountain Home, AR, Wilma Kavitz of Chicago, IL, Dorothy Hartling of Waukesha, WI and many others.
