Harvey Theodore Niemi, 59, of Kettle River, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at his home. He was born August 25, 1952 in Moose Lake to Eino and Helen (Haikola) Niemi.
Harvey attended Kalevala Grade School and Barnum High School and grew up on a dairy farm. Some of his earlier passions were deer hunting and fishing. Harvey did some traveling to Alaska, Texas and California. Harvey was skilled in foundry work and cable construction.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen, sister-in-law, Carol Niemi and brother-in-law, Charles Sebring.

Harvey is survived by 2 brothers, Ralph Niemi of Sturgeon Lake and Dean Niemi of Duluth; 1 sister, Linda (Homer Hansen) Sebring of Kettle River; nephews, Jeff (Eva) Niemi of Guam and Mark Niemi of Pine River; nieces, Sheryl (Andy) Theisen of Monticello, Kathy (Seth) Leino of Soudan and Jenny (Brandon Hennager) Sebring of Barnum; several great nephews and nieces.
