Helen Ruth Margaret Lattu, 90, of Edina died Friday, August 15, 2008 in Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina.  She was born July 13, 1918 in Minneapolis to Einar and Matilde (Jensen) Lattu, Sr.  Helen graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1934.  She worked for General Motors Parts Division as a secretary for over 32 years.  Helen was an active member of Central Lutheran Church of Minneapolis.  She also taught Sunday School and was a member of Grace Circle.  Helen was active in many outreach ministries.  She enjoyed playing scrabble, dominoes, jigsaw puzzles, traveling and planning family reunions.  Helen is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Einar and Rolph Lattu; 1 sister-in-law, Ruth Lattu.Helen is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Joyce Lattu of Moose Lake and Florence Lattu of Moose Lake; nephews, Brian (Sandy) Lattu of Falcon Heights, Bruce (Kathy) Lattu of Centerville, Steve (Kim) Lattu of Chanhassen and Royce (Joanne) Lattu of Mahtowa, Randy (Kolette) Lattu of Lakeville and Phillip (Anna) Lattu of Sturgeon Lake; niece Karen (Darrell) Polzin of Bloomington; many grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends was held on Friday, August 22 from 1:30 until the 2:30 PM with a Memorial Service in Central Lutheran Church, 333 S. 12th St., Minneapolis.  There was also a gathering of family and friends, Saturday, August 23, from 2 – 3 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake with interment in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake.  To sign the guest book online go to: hhkfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
