Kate Ukura, 94, of Maple Grove, formerly of Richfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 30, 2008.  She was born October 9, 1913 in Beaver Township, Aitkin County to Oscar and Jennie (Seppanen) Fors.  Kate was married for 65 years to Andrew R. Ukura.Kate was a lifelong member of Beaver Community Church. She loved laughing and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.Kate is preceded in death by her husband , Andrew; her parents; sister, Elsie Schlotz; brother, Billy Fors.Kate is survived by 2 daughters, Pat (Jack) Ward and Deb Ukura (Laura Henson); 5 grandchildren, Pam (Al) Premo, Jay (Jenny) Ward, Andy (Leanne) Ward, Dan (Jenny) Ward and Jennie Ward; 9 great grandchildren, Jordan, Chelzee, Jacob, Katrina, Allison, Kyle, Drew, Emily and Lilly.Visitation was held on Saturday, August 2, from 11 AM until the 12 PM Service in Beaver Community Church, Hwy 27, Beaver Township, Aitkin Co. with Dr. Reverend Michael Rogers officiating. Interment was in Beaver Township Cemetery. Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
