Obituary

Henry George Armstrong, 76, formerly of Mankato, Sturgeon Lake and Sandstone, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Shakopee.  He was born December 10, 1931 in Mankato to Charles and Elizabeth (Lake) Armstrong.  Henry is a Navy Veteran.  He was united in marriage to Marie Hagen on July 23, 1953 in Mankato.  Henry was a truck driver for many years. He was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church of Sandstone and former member of Holy Family (Holy Angels) Catholic Church of Moose Lake.  Henry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, carpentry and gardening.

Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Marie; his parents; grandson, Dylan; brother, Charles; sister, Betty Rose.

Henry is survived by 5 sons, Michael (Teresa) of Plano, TX, Harold (Carol) of Shakopee, Jeff (Laura) of Temple, TX, David (Angela) of Hagerstown, MD and Tim (Patti) of Shakopee; 5 daughters, Denise McCarger of Mankato, Lisa (Jerome) Risting of Mason City, IA, Amy (Tom) Seeman of Colorado Springs, CO, Julie (Randy) Ehrlichman of Conifer, CO and Mary (Mike) Enderson of Chippewa Falls, WI; 18 grandchildren, Sarah, Wyatt, Adam, Rachel, Tom, Matthew, Garrett, Keith, Jake, Zak, Danielle, Bunnar, Paige, Ian, Emma, Chloe, Sarah and Nathaniel.

Visitation was held Friday, October 24, from 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM and then continued on Saturday, October 25, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake.  Interment was in St. Isidores Catholic Cemetery, Sturgeon Lake.  To sign the guestbook online go to: www.hhkfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
