Henry W. Karsten

Henry W. Karsten, 38, Cloquet, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at University of Minnesota Medical Center – Fairview in Minneapolis. He was born on June 13, 1973 in Milaca, MN. Henry graduated from Foley High School and later worked for Crystal Cabinets in Princeton for 10 years. On May 15, 2004, Henry married Jody Gorham in Moose Lake. They lived in Split Rock Twp. and later moved to Cloquet where Henry worked at Sappi Fine Paper. Henry loved spending time with his family and was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, camping, and four wheeling. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jody; three children: Tyler, Trevor, and Amanda; his mother: Selena (Mike) Carlson of Sturgeon Lake; his father: William (Rolina) Karsten of Pease; 9 siblings: Sheldon (Kim) Gallmeier of Pine City; Dorrie (Larry) Goetzke of Milaca; Laura Carpenter of Foreston; Mikki (AJ) Fox of Twin Lake, MI; Jessica (Jon) Anderson of Willmar; Lisa (Kent) Lestrud of Princeton; Lynette (Jeff) Kuzel of Pine City; Connie (Dan) Schulz of Mora; and Kathy (Jake) Mattila of Healy, AK; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dave & Pat Gorham of Princeton; and many nieces, nephews and a great niece.

A Memorial Visitation was from 4-6 PM Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake and continued on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service at Hope Lutheran Church. Wendy Hjelmberg was officiating.
