Obituary

Hildur Hinchliffe, 95, of Moose Lake, formerly of Barnum, died Friday, January 9, 2009 in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born January 25, 1913 in Grantsburg, WI to John and Ingeborg (Paulson) Oberg. Hildur was united in marriage to George "Tom" Hinchliffe on August 2, 1929 in Grantsburg, WI. Hildur was employed with Hansen's Dairy & Egg Service of Barnum and Anderson Egg Co. of Moose Lake. She was also a store clerk at Goodell's of Barnum as well as a dishwasher and assistant cook at Barnum High School. Hildur was a member of Barnum Rebekah Lodge of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Barnum PTA and Barnum 500 Club. Hildur enjoyed playing cribbage, 500, gardening, traveling to visit family, leather crafts, embroidery, reading, crochet, dancing, entertaining and outdoor activities.

Hildur is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents; son, Joseph; brother, Maynard Oberg; infant brother, Clarence.

Hildur is survived by her granddaughter, Pamela Taylor of Castaic, CA; great granddaughters, Amie (Chris) Kipfer of Jacksonville, NC and Sara (David) Potter of Canyon Country, CA; great great grandchildren, Dakota, Allysen, Jacob, Cole and Jordyn; niece, Mechelle (Lyle) Mattson-Berge of Aurora, CO; great niece, Karen Caspian of Aurora, CO.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14, from 10 AM until the 11 AM service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
