Ilene Evenell Staberg, 85, of Moose Lake, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born November 11, 1930 in Duluth to Pete C. and Emma R. (Ekwall) Pederson. She grew up in Duluth and graduated from Central High School. The family moved to Moose Lake after having purchased a dairy farm. Ilene met Wallace Staberg in Moose Lake and they were married on June 23, 1951 and remained in Moose Lake the rest of their lives. Having loved being outdoors, Ilene and Wallace created beautiful landscapes of flowers, trees and bushes and gardens full of fruits and vegetables. Ilene was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and helped with activities wherever she could.

Ilene is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; her parents; daughter, Renae; 1 brother.

Ilene is survived by her children, Velda, Rhonda and Randy; brothers, Dale and Veirn; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, from 5-7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Thursday, August 25, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake.
