Jack William Buck, 77, of Moose Lake, passed away August 23, 2014 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. He was born July 22, 1937 in Isle to John and Alberta (Benning) Buck. Jack grew up in Moose Lake. He was united in marriage to Margaret Porteous on September 18, 1960 in Moose Lake. Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years running a dozer. He worked in many different states, including Alaska on the pipeline. Before he retired, Jack worked closer to home for Arnt Construction. Jack was an avid year-around fisherman and hunter until the last few years when his health was failing. He also enjoyed gardening, canning and had a greenhouse. Jack could fix or build just about anything. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved his dog, "Snicker".
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Iva Korhonen.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret; daughter, Diana (Jeff) Laine; son, John (Tammy) Buck; grandchildren, Jacob Matuseski, Brandon Buck, Courtney Laine and Matthew Laine; 1 sister, Maxine Leino; sisters-in-law, Audrey Porteous and Bonnie Cackoski; brothers-in-law, Dan Korhonen, Robert Porteous, Richard Porteous, James Porteous and Ken Cackoski; 1 niece, nephews and cousins.
