Jack Jaros
Jack Jaros, 75, Willow River, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake.
He was born in Rutledge on April 5, 1933 to John and Agnes Jaros. He grew up in Rutledge and attended school in Willow River graduating in 1951. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. On October 31, 1953, Jack married Marcy Dobosenski in Moose Lake. They lived in Rutledge and Jack worked at Jaros Mileage. He later went to Alaska where he worked construction for over 7 years. In 1974, they moved back to Willow River and Jack worked for Waldhalm Construction until retiring in 1982. Jack and Marcy wintered in Texas for several years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willow River where he served as a Trustee for many years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jack had also been a member of the Willow River Fire Department, the Willow River American Legion Post #163, and the Willow River Commercial Club. He also served on the Willow River School Board. Jack truly loved spending time with his family whom he loved very much. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and carpentry.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents: John and Agnes Jaros; and three brothers: George, Richard, and Robert.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years: Marcy; three children: Mary (Pat) Conner of Anchorage, AK; Steve (Sharon) of Stacy; and Don (Cindy) of Waseca; six grandchildren: Jeremy, Rachel, John, Cheyenne, Tony, and Bobbie Jo; three great grandchildren: Payton, Sydney, and Noah; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation was on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 3-5 PM with a Rosary service at 4:30 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Mass of Christian Burial was on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Willow River. There was a visitation one hour prior to Mass at the St. Mary's Center on Monday. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Willow River American Legion Post #163 and the Sturgeon Lake/Denham American Legion Post #361.
