James E. Prokosch, 96, Barnum, died Friday, July 25, 2025 in Moose Lake.  He was born on April 26, 1929 in Duluth to Andrew and Theresa Prokosch.  Jim grew up in Barnum where he attended school.  He began working for Northwestern Bell.  In 1950, Jim entered the United State Army and served during the Korean War.  While he was in the service, Jim married Eleonore Keil in Frankfurt, Germany on June 29, 1953.  After his service, they lived in Barnum and Jim continued with Northwestern Bell until retiring in 1986.  He was a member of the Carlton VFW and the Barnum American Legion where he was the Post Commander for 7 years.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Eleonore in 2011.

At Jim's request, there will be no services.  Inurnment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Barnum.
