James Stanley Suchoski
James Stanley Suchoski, 75, formerly of Split Rock Twp. and Two Harbors, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Lynnhurst Health Care Center, St. Paul. He was born on December 11, 1936 to Peter and Mary Suchoski in Moose Lake where he grew up and graduated from high school. He was baptized in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Split Rock Twp. Jim worked construction on the North Shore before serving in the United States Army in Korea from 1960 until 1962. After the service, Jim worked at International Paper in Golden Valley before returning to Kettle River to run the family farm in 1963. Jim moved to Two Harbors in 1989 where he was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Peter in 1970, his mother, Mary in 2004, and his brothers, Peter in 1982 and Philip in 2009.
He is survived by two sons: David (Dawn) Suchoski of St. Paul and Charles Suchoski of Springfield, MO; a sister: Marianne Hebel of Palos Park, IL; grandchildren: Spencer and Pierce; nieces: Carla and Krista; and nephews: Peter, Shayne and Liam.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Split Rock Twp. Father Eamonn Boland will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Split Rock Twp.
