Jean B. Brown, 97, of Moose Lake, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. She was born February 19, 1918 in Duluth to Malcolm and Sarah (MacLean) Buchanan. Jean grew up in Duluth. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Brown on June 13, 1942 in Abilene, TX. Jean worked as a Dental Hygienist. Jean was a member of United Methodist Church, Moose Lake as well as the American Legion Auxiliary of Moose Lake. Jean enjoyed golfing at Moose Lake Golf Club and was active in the women's golf league. She also enjoyed knitting and spending time in her flower garden.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Brown; son, Merritt Brown; brother, Grant; sister, Dorothy.

Jean is survived by 1 daughter, Patty Brown; daughter-in-law, Kathy Brown; 2 sisters, Mary and Grace; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Brown and Tom (Sally) Brown; 8 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 28 at 2:00 P.M. in United Methodist Church, Moose Lake.

Private Interment was held Thursday, May 21 in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
