Despite all her health problems, Jan was very determined not to let her health interfere with enjoying all of the things she loved to do in life especially attending the activities of her children and grandchildren. Jan was a very devout Catholic and loved to attend Holy Angels Catholic Church. When her children were young, she taught catechism and directed the children's choir at Holy Family Catholic Church.
