Jeffrey Scott
Countryman
August 18, 1967 – January 30, 2025
Jeffrey Scott Countryman, of Kettle River, Minnesota, passed away on January 30, 2025, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota. He was born on August 18, 1967, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Leigh and Sally Countryman.
Jeff graduated from Sibley High School in 1985 and, shortly thereafter, enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for 21 years, encompassing both active duty and National Guard service. His military career included a deployment in Korea and participation in peacekeeping efforts in Bosnia. Jeff retired from the National Guard in 2005, achieving the rank of Captain.
In the year 2000, Jeff met the love of his life, Nicole LeVesseur. They were united in marriage on April 26, 2003. The couple welcomed their cherished son, Jeremiah, in 2006. Together, they created a loving home filled with cherished memories, enjoying camping trips, ATV rides, and evenings around the campfire. Jeff had a passion for the outdoors, evident in his love for pheasant hunting with his beloved Springer Spaniels, deer hunting with his close-knit group of friends from the Band of Brothers Outdoor Club, and relishing a good cigar while enjoying an old-fashioned.
Jeff was known for his heart of gold and demonstrated a selfless commitment to his community. He often put aside his own projects to lend a helping hand to friends in need. His dedication extended to his church, where he served in the nursery and participated on the emergency response team. He also supported the Boy Scout troop and volunteered at Covenant Park Bible Camp. Above all, Jeff cherished the time spent with his beloved family and countless friends.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Leigh and Sally Countryman. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nicole, and their son, Jeremiah. Also mourning his loss are his sister, Jill (Jeff), his brother, Tim (Rhonda), nephew Jamison, niece's Kendall (John) and Evalynn. He is further survived by his in-laws: Dolly, Chris, Mike, Jameson (Carrissa), Michelle (Craig), along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
