Jeri Marie Zimmer Matten, 35, of Sturgeon Lake, entered into eternal life with the Lord on May 1, 2013. Jeri was born on April 29th, 1978 to Daniel and Debra (Ruotsalainen) Zimmer of Sturgeon Lake, MN. Jeri was a graduate of Willow River High School. Jeri was united in marriage to David Matten on October 16, 2004 in Moose Lake. After graduating from high school, Jeri furthered her education in Art but soon after pursued a nursing degree and graduated from Lake Superior College in June of 2008. Her education over the years landed her employment at Mercy Hospital as a CNA, an LPN, and eventually an RN.
Jeri was passionate for The Word of God. She was a gifted artist. She loved her family, pets, gardening and flowers, thrift shopping, and agate picking with her daughter, Danica. Jeri was a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse and will be remembered for the many lives that she touched.

Jeri is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Zimmer.

Jeri is survived by and will be deeply missed by her loving husband David; daughter, Danica; son, Aaron; mother, Debra; brothers, Jamie (Tabitha), Jesse (Landa), and Jason Zimmer; father-in-law, William Matten; mother-in-law, Violet Moreland; sister-in-law, Lisa (Todd) Mastro; step brother-in-law, Shawn (Jackie) Aho; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her special friend and mother in heart, Sandy Livgard.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, from 5-7 PM in Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake and will continue Wednesday, May 8, from 10 AM until the 11 AM service at the church.
