Jessie Elaine Johnson, 83, of Wrenshall, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 in Interfaith Care Center, Carlton. She was born December 6, 1926 in Cogswell, ND to John and Eva (VanDyke) Hayden. Jessie was united in marriage to John L. "Jack" Johnson on July 1, 1949 in Minneapolis where they lived for 4 years before moving to Wrenshall.
Jessie had numerous jobs throughout her lifetime from running a restaurant and bar to working in Washington D.C.. She love Christmas time and loved to cook for everyone and always made sure everyone had more than enough to eat. She was also an excellent seamstress.

Jessie is preceded in death by her husband John; her parents; 2 sisters, Esther and Nell; 1 brother, Lyle.

Jessie is survived by 3 children, Kathy (Bob) Angst, Bruce Johnson (special friend, Donna) and Suzie (Rod) Holmes; grandchildren, Erin (Pat) Riley, Sarah (Tim) Ford, Amanda (Chad) Pfau, John (Michelle) Angst and Kelsey Holmes (special friend, Steve); great grandchildren, Keegan Pfau, Jack Riley, Karter Pfau, Isabel Riley and baby Pfau due in January; sister, Mira Hayden; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Wednesday, December 23 from 10 AM until the 11 AM service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Interment was in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Township.
