Joanne Darlene Tasler, 82, of Willow River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Bendictine Living Community of Duluth. Born May 19, 1938 in St. Paul the daughter of Izetta and Emmett Pickles, she married Don Tasler on January 3, 1957 in North Woods, Iowa.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Don Tasler; daughter, Cindy Musta; son Timmy Tasler; sister, Neoma (Jeanne) LaVasseur; and parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Starbird of Willow River; son, Donny Tasler of Moose Lake; grandsons, Corey (Dawn) Tasler, Brad (Lauren) Starbird,  Jake Musta; granddaughters, Samantha (David) Neumann, and Keri (Shane) Bumann; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Melody Beattie; and brother, Jimmy Lee, and many friends.

Joanne enjoyed gardening, canning, writing poetry and watching her hummingbirds. Joanne will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

A casual memorial service with a luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, from 3-6pm at her daughter, Cheryl's home: 2882 Wyatt's Cove, Willow River, MN 55795.
