John Thomas Doherty, beloved father and grandfather, long-time resident of Moose Lake, died peacefully on Thursday, July 8 th , 2021 in Moose Lake Village, Moose Lake. He was born in New Brighton, MN on May 9 th , 1930 to John and Marguerite (O'Gara)
John graduated from De La Salle, Mpls. When serving in the Air Natl. Guard at Camp Ripley, John and his buddies would sneak a jeep out and head up to Breezy Point, where he met Jeannette Koenig (Jan).

In 1953, John started his Fitgers distributorship in Moose Lake, selling it years later. He joined Fitger Brewery as sales manager mid 1960's. Later years were spent as an independent trucker, coaxing a few million more miles out of his tired but trusty classic B(61) Model Mack.
John's pastimes were fishing, hunting, golfing and in later years baking and tinkering with his M37. He was a member of K of C and the Moose Lodge.
