Joyce Ruth Lattu, age 97, resident of Moose Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21 ^st , 2019 in the loving care of her family and staff at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Minneapolis on December 9 ^th , 1921 to Ernest and Anna (Ecklund) Haberbusch.

Joyce grew up in Minneapolis and attended school there. She received some nurse's training at the Swedish Hospital before moving to Berrian Springs, Michigan where she earned her B.S. degree in nursing from Andrews University. She worked at the Swedish hospital and moved to Moose Lake in 1949 to work at the State Hospital. Joyce married Rolph Lattu on May 21 ^st , 1950 in Minneapolis. She also worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital. Joyce was a member of the Swedish Hospital Alumni Association, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, and the Seventh Day Adventist Churches of Hinckley and Moose Lake.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Rolph Lattu; parents, Ernest and Anna; and sisters, Elaine Haberbusch, Bernice (Ralph) Wenzel, and Shirley (Bob) Sumner.

Joyce's memory will be cherished by her three children, Royce (Joanne), Randy (Kolette), and Philip (Anna) Lattu; grandchildren, David, Nathan, Tamara, Nick, Bethany (Mark), April, Hannah, Elliana, Jennifer (Marty), Jeanna (Tad), Aaron, and Abigail (Brett); great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family inurnment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake.
