Karen Ann Anderson, 80, Denham, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in Moose Lake Village. She was born on November 11, 1943 in Denham on the family farm to Roy and Caroline Alberg. Karen attended school in Denham and later attended Willow River High School graduating in 1961. She then attended St. Cloud State University. On September 26, 1964, Karen married Lee Anderson in Moose Lake. They lived in South Minneapolis., Lino Lakes, and lastly North Branch where they built their log home. In 1978, Lee and Karen purchased the farm where Karen was born in Denham. They moved to that property in 1980 and later built another log home. Karen was an amazing wife, mom, and homemaker. She loved to have a big garden and succeeded in canning and growing flowers. Karen also did oil painting, sketching, and dried flowers. She was very talented at any hobby that she took on. Karen came into a relationship with Jesus Christ early in her adult years and served him faithfully in all areas of her life.
Karen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lee; 4 children: Michelle (Mike) Nelson; Brad (Heather) Anderson; Christopher (Aliza) Anderson; and Jonathan (Destany) Anderson; 9 grandchildren: Blake Nelson, Joshua Nelson, Parker Nelson, Breanna Anderson, Natalie Anderson, Elly Anderson, Noelle Anderson, Ian Anderson, and Rydge Anderson; 3 sisters: Patti Almquist, Noreen (Rollie) Brockman, and Wendy (Frank) Suchon; sister-in-law: Linda Larson; and numerous nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am Celebration of Life on Friday, January 5, 2024 in the Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake. Lunch will follow the services. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Birch Creek Twp. Memorials are preferred.
