Obituary

Karen R. Dahlmeier, 78, Moose Lake, died peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake.  She was born on February 8, 1940 in Cloquet to Raymond and Florence Reynolds.  Karen grew up and attended school in the Scanlon/Cloquet area and graduated from Cloquet High School.  She attended St. Luke's School of Nursing and received her RN Degree.  Karen worked for many years as a RN at Moose Lake State Hospital and retired prior to their closure.  On December 9, 1961, Karen married Curtis Dahlmeier in Scanlon.  They lived in Moose Lake and Karen was a member of Hope Lutheran Church Moose Lake and volunteered at the Moose Lake Historical Society.  She liked to read, cross stitch, scrap book, and had a great love for her collection of dolls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis in 2012 and a son: Phillip in 2013.

Karen will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lauri of White Bear Lake; two grandsons: Brandon Dahlmeier and Andy Haun; a great grandson; brother: Carter (Joyce) Reynolds; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Annette Dahlmeier, Judy Kjarum, Marvin Peterson, and Lois (Harley) Tennison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Karen's wishes, no services will be held.  Inurnment with her husband, Curtis, will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in the Spring.
