Katherine Jean Runstrom, 91, of Mahtowa Township, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at her home.
She was born June 15, 1918 in Stevens Point, WI to Alfred and Nel (Allan) Krause. Katherine was united in marriage to Reidar Runstrom on August 4, 1945 in Duluth. She enjoyed baking, gardening, making hook rugs and especially spending time with her family.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Reidar; her parents; 3 brothers, Allen, Billy and Jack; 1 sister, Annette Holt; 1 grandchild, David John Runstrom.

Katherine is survived by 4 sons, James (Laura) Runstrom of Barnum, Jerry (Patti) Runstrom of Cloquet, John Runstrom of Sturgeon Lake and Thomas (Lori) Runstrom of Cloquet; 3 daughters, Peggy (Mike) Sway of Barnum, Mary Hoffman of Oahu, HI and Kristy (David) Balut of Willow River; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Tuesday, December 29, from 10 AM until the 11 AM service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake with Father Eamonn Boland as the celebrant.
