Kenneth A. Anderson

Kenneth A. Anderson, 74, Barnum, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Moose Lake.  He was born on November 21, 1933 in Moose Lake to Alvin and Mabel Anderson.  He grew up in the Barnum and Moose Lake area and attended the Old Central School.  He served in the United States Air Force and was very proud about his mechanic work on jet planes.  After the service, Kenneth lived in Proctor before moving to Barnum.  He worked for Minnesota Power at the Thomson Hydro Electric Plant for several years, working as head electrician.  Kenneth was a member of IBEW.   Kenneth also hobby farmed through the years and had a passion for working on the farm and tinkering with his tractors.  He restored tractors and was very proud of his John Deere MT which was his pride and joy.  He was a very active person and liked to fish, golf, bowl, and especially liked play horseshoes.  Kenneth was the President of the local horseshoe club and would often travel for different horseshoe tournaments.

He is survived by his three Children: Danette Anderson of Superior; Kent Anderson of Duluth; and Allen (Julieanne) Anderson of Knoxville, TN; three Grandchildren:  Taylor Nemec, Caitlin Anderson, and Rebecca Anderson; three Sisters: Carol Skoglund of Barnum; Betty (Bill) Lundgren of Duluth; and Judy Lyndon of Albuquerque, NM; two Brothers: Jim (Sandy) Anderson of Esko and Bill Anderson of Nashville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Graveside Service was held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Noon in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.  Pastor Lee Kantonen officiated.
