Kenneth Eugene Gobel, age 96, of Swatara, MN passed away on June 11, 2020.  Kenny was born in Aitkin County on May 31, 1924 and resided in Swatara most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Violet and Bert Gobel, brothers: Lawrence, Wayne, and Jerald Gobel; sisters: Marcella Johnson and Ilene Boudreau; and nieces: Robin Arnold and Denise Boudreau.

Kenny is survived by his sister Joan Arnold; sister-in-law: Judy Gobel; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held in Macville Cemetery, Swatara.

I cherish Kenny Gobel

He's such a special friend

He is always glad when I stop by

Upon my journey's end.

He usually has some anecdote

About something someone did.

As he knows all the people too

That I knew as a kid.

He'll stop everything he's doing

And cordially ask me in.

To share a cup of coffee

And the news of where I've been.

He likes to laugh and tell about

Old Swatara's history

And he always has some story

That he's glad to share with me.

As I swing into his driveway

He greets me with a smile

He'll say get out and come on in

And we'll visit for awhile.
