Kenneth "KC" NYSTROM, JR., 64, of Sturgeon Lake, passed away, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 doing what he loved, ice fishing. Kenneth was born February 23, 1947 in Moose Lake to Kenneth and Myrtle (Overland) Nystrom, Sr. KC hauled milk for many years and also worked at local construction companies in the area. He enjoyed ice fishing, farming, snowmobiling, gardening and cutting and splitting wood. KC especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by all.

KC is preceded in death by his parents.

KC is survived by his companion, Diane Huhta of Sturgeon Lake; daughter, Cheryl (Jim Springer) Nystrom of Chisago City; 2 sons, Dr. Ken (Stephanie) Nystrom of Kingston, NY and Dean (Brian Courrier) Huhta of Chisago City; 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ronan and Evelyn; brother, Jon (Diane Jacobson) Nystrom of Sturgeon Lake; nephew, Jon (Kieren) Nystrom of Faribault; several cousins and the entire Huhta Family.

Visitation was held Thursday, January 5, from 5-7 PM in Hamlin Hansen Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continued Friday, January 6 from 10 AM until the 11 AM service at the funeral home.
