Kenny D. Schleret, 70, of Mahtowa, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his home. He was born March 2, 1941 in Mahtowa to Felix and Bertha (Johnson) Schleret. Kenny was united in marriage to Lucinda "Cindy" Johnson on June 23, 1969 in Sioux Falls, SD. Kenny worked as a truck driver for Holmes Construction and was also employed with Diamond Match of Cloquet. He enjoyed fishing, camping, fixing up cars and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Carlayle; nephews, Brian Schleret, Jimmy Schwartzbauer, Jimmy Johnson and Gary Johnson; brothers-in-law, Larry Johnson and Jerry Johnson.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Cindy of Mahtowa; son, Wayne (Theresa) Schleret of Barnum; daughter, Tammy (Chad) Clementson of Lino Lakes; 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Heaven Schleret; brothers, Keith (Gretchen) Levings of Duluth, Robert (Bonnie) Schleret of Cloquet, John (Shirley) Schleret of Cloquet, Larry (Linda) Schleret of Mahtowa, Gary Schleret of Chaska and Jerry (Melissa) Schleret of Forest Lake; sisters, Jeanette Schwartzbauer of St. Paul, Judy (Roger) Wolf of Burnsville, Sandra (John) Booker of Rutledge, Dale (Stanley) Olsen of Carlton, Cheryl (Jeff) Jahr of Ely and Brenda (Roy) Beck of Wright; brothers-in-law, Lee (Lyne) Johnson, Dana (Kathy) Johnson and Gary (Ginny) Johnson; many nieces and nephews.
