"Deaner"

Larry Dean DeRungs, known by many as "Deaner", 39, Moose Lake, died Sunday, November 12, 2017.  Although he had struggled with highs and lows through the years, the family wants him to be remembered for his heart of gold.

He was born on October 18, 1978 in Moose Lake to Lawrence and Linda DeRungs.  Deaner lived in Willow River where growing up he tinkered with his mechanic skills.   He attended Willow River High School and later worked at a dairy farm west of Moose Lake.  He later moved to the Renville and Wilmar areas where he worked at a beet plant.  He later worked as a laborer in Duluth.  Deaner enjoyed fishing, hunting, being on the computer, playing with his kids and enjoying video games with his kids.  He liked scary movies, was a practical joker, and will be forever remembered for his storytelling.

He was preceded in death by his dad: Lawrence DeRungs; step-dad: Ed Kropp; sister: Liza Marie; and his grandparents: Lawrence & Mary Ann DeRungs and Dean Tegland.

Deaner will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Larry, Tobey, and Laura and their mother, Linda DeRungs of Hibbing; Mom: Linda Kropp of Moose Lake; sister: Becky (Rory) Johnson of Sandstone and Melanie DeRungs of White Bear Lake; brother: Luke (Natalia) DeRungs of Sturgeon Lake; step siblings: Amanda Kropp, Emily Kropp, and Steven Sam all of Sturgeon Lake; Grandma: Rita Tegland of Moose Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Rutledge.
