LaVerne Margaret Maehren, 90, of Moose Lake, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 in Augustana Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born November 26, 1924 in Fort Shaw, Montana to John and Edna Cadwell. LaVerne was united in marriage to Edmund Math Maehren, Sr. in Pine River. LaVerne was employed at Western Life Insurance. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, visiting with friends and family and telling stories of her life.

LaVerne is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Maehren, Sr.; her parents; sons, Patrick and Edmund, Jr.; brothers, Donald, Winston, Graydon, Eugene, Myles and Bruce; sisters, Ruth and Faith.

LaVerne is survived by 1 daughter, LaVerne "Frances" Hischer-Bisset of Blaine; brother, Durane "Doc" Cadwell of Pine River; grandchildren, Donald Hischer, Jr. and Lori Pedersen; great grandchildren, Elaine Jourdain, Amanda Hischer and Ashlee and Abigale Pedersen.
