Obituary

Lee LoRoy Curtiss II, 59, of Askov, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was born January 30, 1965, to Lee LoRoy Curtiss I and Florence (Booth) Curtiss in Wauwatosa, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Andrew Lee Curtiss (12/18/1992 - 12/20/1992), as well as his oldest sister Roxzanna Bridges.
Lee is survived by his wife, Judy Curtiss of Askov (married for 36 years almost (12/30/1988), but they have been together since July of 1985), and his sons: Justin Curtiss (of Askov, MN); Joseph Curtiss (wife/Cheyenne) and their children: Lillian Taylor Curtiss and "Mister" Lee Andrew Curtiss of Moose Lake, MN; Stephen Curtiss (of Askov, MN), and Lee Curtiss III (of Altoona, WI). He is also survived by his siblings, Denise Tipton and Lewy Curtiss, and many nieces and nephews.
Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors with his dogs, Macy and Bob. You could also always find him spending time in the garage working on something or spending time with his boys or grandchildren. He enjoyed when his grandpups, KC and Hank would come to visit as well. Every morning, he would sit as the kitchen island drinking his pot of coffee and talking to Judy's bird, Cosmo or his cat, Monster.
Lee and his family lived a simple life, always welcoming and helping others.  He and Judy were recently talking about going to see the Redwood trees in Oregon someday. He really enjoyed the boat museum they recently went to see in Alexandria, MN. He will be greatly missed and meant the world to those who loved him. We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you, again, in Heaven.
In honor of Lee's request to have a VERY small and simple service, we will be having a private celebration of his life at the Askov Community Center located at: 6369 Kobmagergade, Askov, MN 55704. This will be held from 12-2 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Services will be held first, followed by a simple lunch in honor of him (both at the same place). His burial will be held at a later date, and family will be notified when his family has a date this spring or summer.
