Leona Marie Ullstrom, 87, of Sturgeon Lake, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth. She was born October 3, 1923 in Tyler to William and Eda (Weede) Christensen. Leona was united in marriage to Lester Ullstrom on February 18, 1978 in Las Vegas, NV. Leona was a Dietary Aid at the V.A. Hospital in Minneapolis. Leona enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to garage sales.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Raymond and Roger; 2 daughters, Marsha and Pamela; 1 brother, Jim.

Leona is survived by her husband, Lester of Sturgeon Lake; 1 son, Armas Ristamaki of Rush City; 3 daughters, Teresa Gilliver of Minneapolis, Judy Wright of Sturgeon Lake and Sue Andreason of North Branch; 2 sisters, Caroline (Bill) Dedrick of New York and Phyllis (John) Weir of Hot Springs, AR; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
